Peggy (thefemalefarmer) and Mark hosted
the first shareholders gathering of the season.
After a delicious lunch,
we walked around the beautiful farm,
met the other shareholders,
and filled our baskets to overflowing.
We met the chickens,
a silly goat,
and a friendly donkey.
We filled our baskets....
and, it really doesn't get any fresher than this.
We're happily enjoying our first share!
*1/2 dozen farm eggs
(1 of them green!)
*homemade kim chi
(didn't make it into the picture
and was very delicious)
She has a great selection of fabrics and sewing supplies.
She, also, offers classes!
I don't know about you,
but I love taking classes even if it's something I already know how to do.
You never know what little trick someone else may have up their sleeve, and I want to know about all the shortcuts!
The best part: She has a quilting machine! And, her pricing is verrry reasonable! I've been hesitant to do a large quilt because I'm afraid I would get sooo bogged down in quilting it that I'd never finish. No more excuses! I'm ready to tackle a queen-size!
